Overview: This release of Speed Profiles for MultiNet 2009.12 contains increased depth of available 5 minute interval detailed profiles.

 

Highlights:  Speed Profiles 2009.12 contains the following enhancements:

 

  • This release of Speed Profiles utilizes a new, improved version of the Map Matcher software.  Map Matcher is a core component for the processing of community data.
  • Community input data used in the compilation of Speed Profiles includes over 1 trillion GPS measurements.
  • No new geographies have been added with this release.  Please note that with the change to the California dataset that includes Los Angeles, we have also changed our sample to include only the Los Angeles metropolitan area, which is in tile UC6.
  • Coverage for roadways with daily average Speed Profiles includes 91% of all navigable roads in the United States and 84% of all navigable roads in Canada.
  • Coverage for roadways with 5 min detailed Speed Profiles has increased by the following:
