CHALLENGE

The task of managing industrial land companies in the Basque Country is to ensure the existence of land and industrial pavilions in sufficient quantity and quality and at competitive prices in order to make them available to economic activities, both new creation and development of existing ones. in order to help improve its competitiveness.

Industrial buildings are essential when it comes to boosting the industrial growth of the regions. As it is a segmented offer, its management can be complicated, both by applicants and suppliers.

The possibility of having a comprehensive service in which companies can identify industrial land is key in promoting and developing business activity, facilitating access to available greenfield and brownfield assets for the development of new business activities.

Therefore, these industrial land management companies in the Basque Country, the Basque Government (SPRILUR), the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council (GASTEIZKO INDUSTRIA LURRA – GILSA), the Álava Provincial Council (ÁLAVA AGENCIA DE DESARROLLO – AAD), and the Álava Technology Park (ARABAKO TEKNOLOGIA PARKEA – PTA) had the need to create a unified database of industrial properties in Álava.

SOLUTION

Having an information system that allows managing the existing supply and its adaptation to the needs of the demand is the ideal solution to support economic growth.

This facilitates the search for industrial properties in Alava territory, including plots, warehouses and offices available for the implementation of business activities.

In addition, it contributes to the recovery of disused industrial assets, generally well valued by entrepreneurs, as an opportunity to establish themselves in advantageous economic conditions.

This geographic information and geolocation platform (GIS) groups together the properties offered by the public entities involved, as well as the Vitoria Transportation Center (CTVi).

RESULTS

After a great acceptance by all the parties involved, in a short time we hope to include assets from private developers and owners.

The service has been well received by potential investors and specifiers. It includes the whole of the supply of industrial and logistics infrastructures developed by public entities in the Alava territory, as well as by a large part of the real estate agencies and financial entities that market this type of assets. At the present time, it is in the phase of including additional assets from private developers and owners.

It is planned to offer the possibility of advertising its industrial assets to all interested parties with sufficient guarantees regarding the quality of the information incorporated and the effective availability of the properties.
