Challenge

The Basauri City Council has delegated the management of the municipality’s land registry, so it needed a solution that would allow it to manage it and comply with these premises:

  • It has to reflect the reality of the municipality, for which a GIS and a spatial database management system were used.
  • It should simplify cadastral operations, an objective achieved by automating the management of files.
  • It must be integrated with the management system of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. This was achieved by defining asynchronous sending and receiving gateways.

Over time, although the system worked properly, the underlying technology on which it was developed became obsolete and was no longer supported by the manufacturers.

This generated technology-based problems and incompatibilities between the different components of the system that had to be resolved as soon as possible.

Since the beginning of the project, the collaboration with Geograma has added great value to the work carried out. The expertise of the Geograma team and their involvement in the development have been key to the success of the project”.

Solution

We developed and implemented a new solution in the municipal computer systems of Basauri that allows the management of the land registry.

The project includes two products:

  • A desktop application that allows, with the help of a map, to consult and/or modify the different alphanumeric cadastral data.
  • A plugin on the municipal GIS to graphically edit and update the map of the municipality.

  • Disminuir el tiempo de incorporación de las altas de unidades fiscales al padrón, mejorando los procesos de liquidaciones.
  • La optimización de los recursos humanos necesarios para soportar la gestión catastral.
